Mistplay Terms and their Meanings Maya September 11, 2024 14:47 Updated Follow Novice and veteran Mistplayers alike will tell you that Mistplay is a world of its own, equipped with its own language and terminology —so we've created this brief guide to help you understand some of the Mistplay-specific terms you might encounter! 📚 Units ⭐️ Units are Mistplay's in-app points. Units are earned in games you play and discovered in the App. They can be redeemed for rewards available to you in your in-app rewards catalog known as Shop. The total units you are eligible to receive at different times can be affected or multiplied by a multiplier. For more details on the pieces that make up the loyalty program, please see our economy disclosure. Checkpoint 📈 A checkpoint is a stage in the Mistplay leveling system where you are awarded units based on certain actions within the games you discover on Mistplay. You can think of checkpoints as Mistplay specific-levels. This is an important distinction because many games have a built-in leveling system where you can level up according to criteria designed by the game's developer. These game-specific levels are not related to your progress or earning in Mistplay, but checkpoints are. GXP (Game Experience Points) 🎮 and PXP (Player Experience Points) 🦹♀️are described here. Time Tracking ⏰ Time tracking is the process through which Mistplay tracks the time you spend playing games through the App. Checkpoints, units, GXP and PXP and experience points relate to playtime, making time tracking an integral element of reward earning in Mistplay. To ensure that you don't miss out on any units or rewards, please make sure to launch your games through Mistplay and verify that your device is set up to properly track your playtime. Daily Play 🕹 Daily play refers to the bonus feature available to Mistplayers that maintain continuous daily playtime in games discovered in the app. Mistplayers with daily play streaks earn bonus units. To view the status of your daily play streak and any relevant rules specific to this feature, tap the flame icon in the top bar of the app. IAP (In-app Purchase) 🛍 In-app purchases — sometimes referred to as in-game purchases — refer to purchases made with real money in the games you discover and play through Mistplay. In-app purchases can unlock bonus features and digital items in games such as extra lives, cosmetic items for a character, or hints for a puzzle. Please note these purchases are processed by the game developer —Mistplay does not have access to or require any of your payment details. Badges 🎖 Badges are achievement awards available in certain games. They are unlocked when a player reaches specific milestones, and when they make particular in-app purchases. To determine whether a game offers badges, click the game and look for the section titled "Badges" in the game information section. To learn more about badges, visit this article here. Gems 💎 Gems are a unique digital item that can be rewarded based on in-app purchases in eligible games, known as loyalty games. Gems can be exchanged for units and are an excellent means of improving your earning potential as they contribute to your Mistplay status. You can view a full list of available loyalty games by clicking on the 'Loyalty Games' option in your Mistplay status menu. To learn more about gems, visit this article here. Mistplay Status 👑 Mistplay Status refers to your tier as a status in the loyalty program. Your tier is determined by the number of Gems you acquire on a monthly basis.
