Mistplay terminology (and what it all means) Maya November 12, 2023 13:48 Updated Follow New and veteran Mistplayers alike will tell you that Mistplay is a world of its own, filled with its own language and terminology. That’s why we created this brief guide to help you understand some of the Mistplay-specific terms you’ll likely encounter! 📚 Units ⭐️ Units are Mistplay’s in-app points. They are earned as you play games and progress in the app. You can then redeem your units for stellar rewards in the Mistplay Shop. At times, the total amount of units you’re eligible to receive can be affected by unit multipliers. For more details on Mistplay’s Loyalty program, please see our economy disclosure and refer to your in-app notifications. Checkpoints 📈 Checkpoints refer to stages in the Mistplay leveling system where you are awarded units based on certain in-game actions. You can think of checkpoints as Mistplay-specific levels. This is an important distinction as many games have built-in leveling systems where you can level up according to criteria set by the gamedevs. Unlike checkpoints in Mistplay, however, these game-specific levels are unrelated to your progress and earning potential in the app. GXP (Game Experience Points) 🎮 and PXP (Player Experience Points) 🦹♀️ are described here: Economy Disclosure. Time tracking ⏰ Time tracking is the process through which Mistplay tracks the time you spend playing games in the app. Checkpoints, units, and other experience points relate to playtime, which makes time tracking an integral part of Mistplay’s reward system. To ensure that you don’t miss out on any rewards, always launch your games through Mistplay and verify that your device is set up to properly track your playtime. Daily Play 🕹 The Daily Play refers to Mistplay’s daily bonus feature. Mistplayers who partake in the Daily Play can maintain a Daily Streak to earn even more bonus units. At least two minutes of daily playtime is required to participate. To view the status of your Daily Play and any other rules specific to this feature, tap the flame icon in the top bar of the app. In-app purchase (IAP) 🛍 In-app purchases, also known as in-game purchases, refer to purchases made with real money in the games you play through Mistplay. In-app purchases can unlock bonus features and digital items in games, such as extra lives, puzzle hints, and cosmetic skins or accessories for in-game characters. Please note that these purchases are processed by the game developers, and payment details are never collected by Mistplay. Badges 🎖 Badges are achievement awards available in some games. They are unlocked when players hit particular milestones or make certain in-app purchases. To determine whether a game offers badges, tap on the game and look for the section titled “Badges” under the game details. To learn more about badges, check out this article. Gems 💎 Gems are unique digital items you can earn based on in-app purchases in eligible Loyalty games. Gems can be exchanged for units and are an excellent way of improving your earning potential as they contribute to your Mistplay status. To see the complete list of Loyalty games available to you, select the “Bonus” tab in the navigation menu, then tap the banner beneath “Mistplay status,” followed by “Loyalty games.” To learn more about gems, read this article. Status 👑 Your Mistplay status refers to your tier as a status in the Loyalty program. Your tier is essentially determined by the number of gems you acquire on a monthly basis. Different tiers unlock different benefits, including bonus units, boosted earning speed, and exclusive avatars. Mistcode✨ Mistcodes are promotional codes that can be redeemed in the app for awesome perks. But they’re only released on special occasions, so try not to miss them!
